Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to City

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) is in Shuangliu District, southwest of the city centre. The usual ways into Chengdu are the metro, a taxi or rideshare, and in some cases the high-speed rail station at the airport. This is not Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU), which has its own road and rail links on the other side of the metropolitan area.

Metro: Line 10 and Line 19

Chengdu Metro Line 10 has stations at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Line 19 also serves the Shuangliu airport area. Use these lines to reach interchanges toward Tianfu Square, Chunxi Road and the rest of the network. Fares follow the Chengdu Metro distance scale; buy a ticket or use a metro app / Tianfutong at the station. Allow extra time with luggage; the walk from arrivals to the platform is longer than the hotel walk to Joyhub.

Taxi and rideshare

Official taxi ranks are outside both terminals. A ride to Tianfu Square is typically 30 to 45 minutes in normal traffic. Rideshare (Didi and others) uses designated pick-up zones. Show the driver 成都双流国际机场 if there is any confusion with Tianfu.

High-speed rail

Shuangliu Airport has a railway station used by some Chengyu and other high-speed services. It is useful for onward cities more than for a hop to Tianfu Square. Check current timetables on 12306 before you count on a specific train.

Hotel transfers

Chengdu Joyhub Air Hotel is a walk from Terminal 1, so you do not need a vehicle for the last stretch. Holiday Inn Chengdu Airport publishes a 24-hour shuttle over 1.5 km. Mercure Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is a 15-minute drive; confirm any shuttle when you book. Holiday Inn Express Chengdu Airport Zone is 8 km out, near Yingchunqiao on Line 3, which is the better metro-into-the-city base.
