Sleeping in Chengdu Shuangliu Airport
Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) runs through the night for connections, but it is not a comfortable place to spend a full night in a chair. If you are weighing a terminal nap against a hotel bed, the walkable option is unusually close.
What to expect in the terminal
Plan for bright lights, announcements and standard seating rather than quiet rest zones. There are no published sleep pods landside. Airside overnight access depends on your onward boarding pass; do not assume you can recross security at any hour. Keep documents and valuables on you, and eat before outlets close.
Why a bed is close at Shuangliu
Chengdu Joyhub Air Hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Terminal 1, with an indoor pool, spa and a shuttle on request for Terminal 2. That is the default recommendation for a late landing or a departure before dawn.
If you prefer an IHG stay, Holiday Inn Chengdu Airport is a 5-minute drive with a published 24-hour shuttle. Mercure Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is about 15 minutes by car.
Short rests without an overnight stay

Do not confuse Shuangliu (CTU) with Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU). Tianfu is a separate airport with a different hotel cluster. These hotels serve Shuangliu only.
